My Neighbour swept up our leaves when we were away..

I just had a random act committed on my family!

When my family returned from our Christmas travels on Sunday evening there were 30 trash bags in front of our house. Not trash, though. Leaves! My neighbor must have felt sorry for my husband and I (we have two young sons) and raked and bagged all of our leaves! I was dreading doing those leaves all the way home and just like a Christmas miracle, they were done!

I hadn't really thought about making a New Years Resolution until someone asked me last night, and I remember reading a little book called random acts of kindness, where peeps would go around doing things for others i.e paying for the car parking ticket for the person in the car behind, I thought one random act of kindness could be...when in the supermarket next buy a bar of chocolate with ones shopping and then as you pack it all up and on leaving give the bar of chocolate to the person behind you in the que.....

I would really like others to also participate in this blog, so if you do random acts of kindness for people, and they have been done from 2008 onwards please email me with what you have done and I will print it here with your name if you want, or you can be anonymous. You can also if you choose write it on a postcard or some kind of artform and send it as a jpg image.

When you do a random act of kindness, and it's something like giving something away, feel free to add this blog address with the gift http://acts-of-random-kindness.blogspot.com/ , in that way it will encourage others to read about random acts of kindness and then hopefully do some random kindness acts themselves :)
